CARTOON
NETWORK'S TOON CRICKET 2003
For the third successive year the management of
the Cartoon network's flagship event brand - Toon
Cricket - was handed over to SEVENTY. This year,
we promoted the Mumbai Stadium event with a seven
city roadshow and school contact programme hitting
over 150 schools, distributing over 120, 000 fliers
and establishing face to face contact with over
4.5 lakh children.
We developed the Toon Cricket event theme with one
of Bollywood's best event script writers, pre-recorded
dozens of 'Bollywood' actor and actress voices,
and rehearsed the 150 dancers, performers, models
and singers for over a month and a half.
The show was produced twice in a single day to maximize
the watching audience. Pre-event BTL campaigns combined
with CN's above the line media campaigns to guarantee
full houses at both shows.
Seven event sponsors, and 45, 000 event spectators
walked through the Andheri Sports Complex gates
that day. They all walked out smiling.
A flawless production. A priceless feeling. It's
why we do what we do. |

HINDUSTAN
LEVER
SEVENTY's standard pre-event timeline and logistical
planning modules allowed 5 of our production teams
to launch four Hindustan Lever brands in 8 cities
on 5 successive days.
BREEZE
SEVENTY re-launched the BREEZE & ACTIVE WHEEL brands
to Hindustan Lever sales teams in Mumbai, Delhi,
Calcutta and Chennai. We used illusionists and magicians
to warm up the audience and launch the new product
and packaging in a blizzard of pyrotechnics, sleight
of hand and music.
ELLE
18
The ELLE 18 Conferences in Bhubaneswar, Jaipur,
Kotayam and Kandala featured multiple product launches
for Lakme Face Souffle, Elle 18 Glow Series and
Lakme True Wear. Interspersed with multiple screen
AV's, 3D product revelations, and finished off with
rocking parties that had everyone on the dance floor
till the very wee hours. |

ROYAL
CHALLENGE INDIAN OPEN GOLF
2003 Royal Challenge awarded the management of the
two key parties promoting the RC Indian Open to
a joint SEVENTY / IMG management team.
We pitched the idea that Royal Challenge move into
a funky, dynamic and vibrant space for the Opening
Party of the event. An "Indian Affair" at Delhi's
Taj Mansingh Poolside saw a perfect blend of east
meets west. Colourful Rajasthani turbans went with
body tattoos and bindi art, gajras on the wrist
with vodka panipuri, and multi-coloured gaddas with
thousands of lit diyas …... high profile Delhi-ites
and guests from over 21 countries had never seen
anything like it, and were thoroughly entertained
by fortunetellers, palmists, masseurs, mehendiwallis,
vodka panipuri, Gin nariyal pani … the works. The
very talented DJ Pearl provided funky, up-temp music
throughout the evening.
The second night's party - The Royal Challenge Indian
Open Pro-Am Awards - was a more sporty affair with
the CEO's and Managing Directors of India's largest
companies mingling with the cream of the capital's
Embassies and Ministries. Live golf ice-breakers
and a well stocked bar supported the award Ceremony,
hosted by Manasi Scott, who introduced a tongue
in cheek 'RC Walk of Fame" catwalk segment, AV films,
and Merlin and Vivienne playing seriously well.
Our thanks to IMG, and - as ever - the last word
goes to the guests :
"The RC event at the Taj was
fabulous - full marks to you all." American Consulate
[by e-mail]
"I must felicitate you all for hosting such a beautiful
and memorable event at TAJ" French Consulate [by
e-mail]

SET
MAX "EXTRAA INNINGS" PRESS CONFERENCE
Not the biggest of events, but we're sorry, it just
had to go into the newsletter - it was, after all,
the first sight of the SET Max 'Dream Team' of Charu,
Mandira, Sandhya and Maria by the ladies and gentlemen
of the Press Corps at the JW Marriott in Mumbai.
If we had only known … |
